Ok, first things first. If you don't like drilling holes, into a perfect hood, this project is not for you! Ordered this kit off Ebay, $199.99 and $19 S/H shipped to the door, pre painted UA black, and the color match was dead on. Vendor link below. The only issue was it was shipped with the missing/wrong hardware kit, "from Roush", but vendor corrected issue
promptly. Sent hardware kit from their direct stock. Thank you!
FYI, You might have to refresh your browser for all the pictures to show up.
[Installation Instructions] |
Pictured below the Roush hood scoop install instructions and hardware kit.
Take your time and read through the manual completely! Don’t just gloss over it . |

Top picture of scoop with included hardware and directions.
I already cut the holes out for the washer nozzles and trim down the template to size.

Install M6 Hex Flange Nuts on the unthreaded insert as seen below. Again, take your time winding these on!
Also, you will see from the below pictures where I installed the 2 sided tape.

M4
U-Studs nuts installed in the scoop. They just slide in and lock and are secure.
Note: if for some reason you have to back them out, like I did, use a couple small watch flathead tool drivers to work them back out.

Follow the direction to a "T". This step is crucial to install the scoop correctly. Measure,
re-measure and then measure again. You only get one shot at drilling the holes in your hood. make sure you center the template front and back. I do recommand drilling pilot holes then move to the 5mm bit even if you use a snap punch to mark for drilling. Just my 2 cents. After lining up the template, that took me about a hour to do! I moved on to removing the hood liner pushpins and the liner. That was the easy part of the whole project.

Holes drilled from top side and here is a look at the under side.
Make sure you de-burr each hole and apply a rust preventer to the holes. |

Under hood scoop on and
nuts torque to 3 N-m or 26lb/in. |
